Person struck and killed by train in Norwood

NORWOOD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A person was hit and killed by a train Thursday morning in Norwood.

The MBTA confirms a railroad trespasser was struck and killed by an outbound Franklin Line commuter rail train between Islington and Norwood Depot Stations at about 9:50 a.m.

MBTA officials said commuters should expect delays on the Franklin/Forge Park line.

Transit police are investigating.
