TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Senator Scott Brown has arrived in Tampa, Fla. at the Republican National Convention.
Brown did a one-on-one interview with FOX 25's Sharman Sacchetti. He says he supports Mitt Romney and denies he is trying to hide the fact that he is a Republican.
Brown says he was invited to speak at the convention, but could not because he "had obligations."
When Sacchetti asked why he is appearing at such a partisan event, he responded that he prides himself on being bipartisan.
Brown said, "People know who I am and what I stand for" and reiterated that there is room in the "big tent" for Republicans like him.
Brown also said he doesn't agree with everything Romney says, but "when it comes to the economy and trying to get our fiscal and financial future squared away, I think he's the best man for the job."
