Massachusetts state police said a car fire prompted the closure of a portion of the Callahan Tunnel on Friday.

Police responded to the fire at about 3:30 p.m. They said there were no injuries in the incident.

The tunnel was closed until all the smoke from the fire had cleared. It was reopened at about 4:20 p.m.
