WESTPORT (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A great white shark has washed up on a shoreline in Westport.

Officials confirmed that the shark was a great white on Saturday.

A necropsy was performed on Saturday morning to find the shark's cause of death. The results of the necropsy have not yet been released.
