On the first night of the Democratic National Convention, the official Twitter account for the Republican National Convention pointed out the national debt has topped $16 trillion and finished their tweets with #areyoubetteroff.

While some GOP supporters explained why they feel they are not better off with President Obama in the White House, the majority of Twitter users who employed the hashtag on Tuesday night felt that they were better off.
