The remnants of Hurricane Isaac created a soggy mess in New England Wednesday.
A line of storms dumped rain, sometimes torrential, on much of Massachusetts Wednesday. FOX 25 meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon said the downpours produced more than an inch of rain for some areas.
Winds were also gusting to more than 20 mph for some areas with rumbles of thunder and flashes of lightning.
Fitzgibbon said steady rain would continue through the morning and would give way to some breaks of sun in the afternoon. She said popup storms were possible through the afternoon.
Thursday was expected to be nicer with temperatures in the 80s. For those heading to the beach, Tropical Storm Leslie prompted a high surf advisory, producing 5- to 8-foot waves, rip currents and beach erosion.
