PEABODY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 12-year-old boy's quick thinking saved his family after his father suffered a seizure while driving on Route 95 south in Peabody Saturday.
The child took the wheel and steered the car into the breakdown lane after his father lost consciousness.
After steering the car to safety, the boy removed his 9-year-old sister from the car and led her behind the guardrail as they waited for police to arrive.
The unidentified boy's 46-year-old father was taken to Lahey Clinic where he was listed in good condition on Saturday afternoon.
