Child, 4, struck by postal delivery vehicle in Hingham

HINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A four-year-old girl was struck by a postal delivery vehicle while riding her bike on Forest Lane in Hingham on Monday.

According to The Hingham Journal, police and paramedics responded to Forest Lane around 11:32 a.m. after the left front portion of the postal delivery vehicle struck the child.  The child was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, and her injuries were classified as non-incapacitating.

Charges have not yet been filed against the 21-year-old postal employee who was driving the vehicle; however, the crash is still under investigation.
