(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – He was sidelined for his size, but now a 12-year-old boy is getting a chance to play football.
At 6'3" and around 300 pounds, Elijah Earnheart was deemed too big to play Pee Wee Football.
His story made headlines nationwide and caught the attention of a coach out in San Diego, who runs a training school for elite young athletes. Now, he is flourishing on his new middle school team.
Late last month, Earnheart went out to California where he got to work on his skills and a few other surprises.
Earnheart is currently playing tackle on both the offense and defensive lines. His first game will be next Monday night.
