A widow of a veteran who joined the Army in 1951 has turned to Fox 29 because she says she can't getting any answers from Veterans Affairs.
Anthony Petrecca was born in Italy and was proud of his time in the military.
Diana Petrecca tells Fox 29 reporter Claudia Gomez her husband received benefits from the VA for nearly a year before his death in December 2008, but she says it wasn't easy.
When she applied for benefits from the VA's fund for widows, she says she knew it might be a long wait.
She says she's still waiting.
Her daughter, Sue Baldwin, says she's on a tight budget.
Fox 29 has requested that the VA take a look at Petrecca's case.
