BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A man was pulled from under a Red Line train at Downtown Crossing after falling onto the tracks Tuesday afternoon.

Boston fire officials said the 27-year-old man was alive and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries that were described as "very serious."

It was not known why the man may have fallen onto the tracks.
