BRIDGEWATER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Bridgewater arrested two men and one woman on Tuesday reportedly responsible for throwing homemade explosives devices on a family's front lawn.
Ryan P. Whealan, 22, of Bridgewater, Daniel J. Linehan, 23, of Taunton, and Erin O'Leary, 23, of Bridgewater, are facing several charges, including criminal harassment, possession of an incendiary device, and disturbing the peace, for an incident that destroyed a Bridgewater family's yard.
Police responded to 7
Grange Court around 4 a.m. on Sunday. When they arrived,
they discovered six soda bottles filled a combination of chlorine and rubbing
alcohol.
No one was hurt, but the five of the six bombs had exploded and left burned
patches of grass and charred sections of sidewalk.
Fire Capt. Raymond Wilcox said a bottle bomb that goes off when being held can
take off a human hand.
All three
will be arraigned at Brockton District Court on Wednesday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
