SPRINGFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 23-year-old
Springfield woman was arrested Monday night at a hotel bar in Springfield after
she swore at patrons and drove her high heel into an officer's leg.
Police responded to the Sheraton Hotel's MVP Bar around 10:30 p.m. on Monday after hotel staff called to complain that a woman was unruly, belligerent and drunk. Staff had reportedly asked the woman to leave; however, she refused, and instead, began swearing loudly at the other patrons and making fun of the other female customers.
Police arrived and attempted to get her to take a cab ride home, but she refused. She said she would only take a cab if the cops paid for it.
After refusing to leave one more time, officers arrested
her for trespassing. She then reportedly told officers that she owned a tanning
salon and would have their jobs by morning.
According to police, officers brought the woman to the station where she became
violent and drove her heel into an officer's leg.
Maxine Romano is charged with trespassing and assault and battery on a police officer. She was arraigned in Springfield District Court on Tuesday.
