Twitter(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 3-year-old cat in Canada has gone from a stray on the streets to a mayoral candidate in Halifax, according to CBC News.
Tuxedo Stan is actually banned from holding office due to municipal law, but his campaign is really about raising awareness of Halifax's stray cat problem.
The cat has his own Twitter and Facebook pages too. Any money Tuxedo Stan raises goes toward a "Spay Day" for low-income families.
His mayoral campaign began after his Facebook page gained thousands of fans, making him an international star.
