(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – When you think of the dangers of youth sports, you might think of a broken bone or a concussion. But the number one cause in deaths among young athletes is sudden cardiac arrest.
What can parents do to prevent tragedy? Dr. Darshak Sanghavi, a pediatric cardiologist at UMass Medical School, and Darla Varrenti, who lost her son, Nick, to sudden cardiac arrest after a game and founded the Nick of Time Foundation, recently joined the FOX 25 Morning News.
