BROCKTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Two men are facing charges in the shooting of an 8-year-old child in Brockton.

The men were reportedly inside an apartment at 560 North Montello Street on Friday night with the shooting victim. The 8-year-old girl "heard a pop" and began bleeding from the leg. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A search continued on Saturday for a second suspect in the shooting. Police plan to charge 28-year-old Eric M. Leach with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14, unlawful carrying of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, intimidating a witness and obstruction of justice.
