(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A local sheriff says more prisoners could be out on the street soon and it has nothing to do with the current state drug lab scandal.
A jail housing prisoners on the south coast could be shut down, leaving local police to house them, something most police stations aren't equipped to handle.
Bristol County Sheriff Hodgson is the man threatening to close the Ash Street Jail in New Bedford, a 200-bed facility. Watch Gene's interview with Hodgson for more.
