WALTHAM (AP) - One of four men charged in connection with the slaying and attempted drug robbery of a Waltham man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
The Middlesex District Attorney's office says 20-year-old Shaquan Jacobs of Newton also pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted armed robbery. He will be eligible for parole after 15 years on the murder charge. He also was sentenced to at least 4 years on the attempted robbery charge.
Prosecutors said 29-year-old Adam Coveny was shot in 2010 after the defendants conspired to rob him.
Twenty-three-year-old Daniel Louis of Boston was sentenced to life without parole last month after being convicted of murder, attempted armed robbery and gun possession charges.
Two other men charged in connection with the killing, including one charged as an accessory, have not gone to trial.
