BOSTON (AP) - Democratic U.S. Rep. Barney Frank is planning to write a book, give speeches, teach college classes, and offer himself as a political commentator in his post-Congressional life.
Two things Frank says he won't be doing is practicing law or lobbying for money.
Frank, who decided not to run for re-election in the state's 4th Congressional District, said he made the announcement Wednesday in response to requests about his future plans.
Frank also said there's little likelihood of any potential conflicts of interest between matters on which he may vote during his remaining time in office and his future plans.
Frank, who is currently serving his 16th and last term in Congress, said he also plans to "remain active as a participant in the national conversation about public policy and politics."
