This Firehouse Friday, FOX 25 decided to kick the tires on a new truck and see what goes into purchasing a vehicle that can cost up to $1 million.
Minuteman Fire & Rescue says it's kind of like customizing a house on wheels. They say about 5,000 fire trucks are sold across the country every year and the needs of each community is different.
Jeffrey Fournier, President of Minuteman Fire & Rescue, says trucks nowadays trucks are even equipped with airbags.
