BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Victor Cruz shed his New York Giants jersey and suited up in a new pro-Obama ad released on Sunday morning.
The former UMass wide receiver appeals to Latino voters in the ad posted on President Barack Obama's YouTube channel.
"Being half Latino it's been a long time since we've had a voice like this and had someone who really cares about the Latin community and we need to go out there and let our voices be heard," says Cruz.
Cruz also compares Election Day to game day, reminding voters that they control who wins and who loses.
"It's important for people to get hyped up for Election Day because it's just like game day," says Cruz, "What you do on that field or what you do on those ballots are gonna determine the winners and losers so get out there and vote."
The latest Gallup poll numbers show President Obama maintaining a commanding 38 point lead over Republican candidate Mitt Romney among Hispanic voters and a 3 point lead among all registered voters.
