Inkster Police responded to a radio call for shots fired around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Upon arriving to the intersection of Lehigh and Moore, they discovered the bullet-ridden body of a man, laying unresponsive in front of a residence.

Not much is known regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting, but Fox 2 was on scene as a hostile crowd began to swell in the aftermath.

That led to the presence of the Wayne County Sheriff's deputies, who responded to the call by Inkster Police Chief Hilton Napoleon.

Our photographer on scene could hear cries for revenge, and even overheard one bystander yelling out, "I got my piece, let's go!"

Police had no suspects as of Sunday night. Napoleon said they're release more information to the public as it comes in.
