A coach who works with Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls was stabbed to death in a neighborhood in New York City, police said.
According to the New York Post, 25-year-old Michael Jones of West Harrison was found on 14th Street near 5th Avenue in the city's West Village neighborhood just before 4:30 a.m. with multiple stab wounds to the head, neck and chest.
The New York Post says Jones was visiting a friend in the neighborhood until midnight when they parted.
According to the report, police investigators recovered a severed ear at the scene of the stabbing.
