US Sen. Brown, Warren gear up for their 3rd debate

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Sen. Scott Brown and challenger Elizabeth Warren are set to debate the issues in Springfield on Wednesday night.

Both say jobs and the economy are the issue of most concern to voters.

When asked how he would prepare for the debate, Brown responded he "may go for a run" and that he will continue to do exactly what he did in the last debate.

"Just be thoughtful and thorough, but also draw a line in the sand, and let her know that, let my opponent know that she can't mislead voters of Massachusetts and distort my record," Brown told FOX 25's Sharman Sacchetti.

Warren says she hopes the debate focuses on the economy.

"We've got 200,000 people who are unemployed, so it should be about jobs, and I hope this will be a chance for Scott Brown to explain how he voted against three jobs bills in a row. I hope it will be about equal pay for equal work. That's something women feel pretty strongly about," Warren said.

In Dorchester on Tuesday, Sen. Brown received the endorsement of the first female governor of New Jersey, Christie Todd Whitman.

Warren campaigned alongside construction workers at the Fan Pier in South Boston.
