He likes cars, learning and dreams of going to Florida but perhaps what he wants most is a place to call home. Michael is a 14-year-old knowledge seeker with a true passion for exploring new subjects.
Greenfield Village is the perfect place for Michael to learn a bit of history about his favorite subject, cars. "I found out that car I rode in was the first to come off a moving assembly line, so that was pretty cool," Michael said during his recent visit to the tourist attraction in Dearborn.
Like many boys his age, Michael also likes to ride bikes, play video games and go go-kart racing. He hopes his desire to expand his mind will be matched... by a fun-loving and adventure-seeking family.
Nicole Chapewski, the Adoption Specialist for Michael says he's very active, loves being outside, running, gardening and of course talking about cars. And his many interests also keep him excited about school. "My favorite subject is Science, I love science," Michael said. But he doesn't like to limit his topics, either.
Michael's dreams predict a bright future. "One day I would like to meet the president and would also like to play on the beaches in some place like Miami, Florida" he said.
Chapiewski says a nurturing family with a sense of spirit is the perfect fit for Michael's personality. "Ideally a two parent household where he's either the youngest sibling or he's an only child, and definitely a family that is adventurous" she said. So what would be Michael's ideal kind of family? He says one with a sense of humor, just like him.
