CHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The search for a missing University of New Hampshire student continued on Friday.

Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott was last seen on Tuesday. Investigators said Marriott got out of a 9 p.m. class at the Durham, N.H. university, texted friends that she would meet them in Dover and never showed up.

Marriott, who lived with relatives in Chester, didn't return home either and missed work at a Target store in Greenland on Wednesday.

Her uncle said when they didn't see her car on Wednesday they assumed she had stayed at someone's house. When she didn't return home on Thursday they became worried and called police.

One of Marriott's friends also told her parents that she was worried about Marriott after she didn't show up to the planned meeting. The friend's parents then called police.

"She's always been very responsible for doing the things she needs to do and reporting in," said Robert Marriott, Lizzi's father.

At a press conference on Friday, New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said the FBI, N.H. State Police and various other organizations had joined the search for Marriott.

"We are treating this as a missing persons case," said Young. "We haven't ruled anything in or anything out."

Young said a state police helicopter, Fish and Game officials and various marine crews had been scouring the New Hampshire seacoast and inland for any sign of Marriott.

Investigators said they had been in contact with the friends Marriott had sent text messages to.

Police said they were able to determine that Marriott's cell phone got a signal from a cell tower in Dover, N.H. at about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday. That was the last signal the cell phone received.

Police also said her bank accounts had not been used since Tuesday.

On Wednesday the Marriott family put up a $10,000 reward for information leading to Lizzi.

Young said investigators still had a lot of ground to cover and would continue searching for Marriott on Saturday.

Marriott is described as five feet, five inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighs about 125 pounds.

Anyone who may have seen Marriott on Tuesday or may have information about her is asked to call Chester, N.H. police at 603 887 2080 or N.H. State Police at 603 271 3636.
