REHOBOTH (AP) - State investigators have been called to a home in
southeastern Massachusetts where a fire killed a woman in her 60s.
Firefighters responded to the blaze on Pine Grove Road in Rehoboth at about
9:30 a.m. Sunday and found the woman in the home. They tried to revive her, but
she died.
The woman's name hasn't been released.
Smoke was pouring out of the split-level house when firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire and the woman's death are under investigation.
Neighbors say the woman had lived in the home for at least 18 years and was
very friendly.
