NEWARK, N.J. -

The Prudential Center might just be the center of rock and roll in December as The Rolling Stones will take the stage for two of four shows.

The famous band announced their return to the stage in a YouTube video Monday as part of their on-going 50th anniversary celebrations.

The band is set to play at London's O2 Arena on November 25th and the 29th and then it's on to Newark, New Jersey for two shows, December 13th and the 15th at the Prudential Center.

"Prudential Center is excited to host this worldwide event for the Rolling Stones," Jeff Vanderbeek, Chairman and Managing Partner of Devils Arena Entertainment said in a statement.

The shows mark the band's return to the stage in more than five years.

Tour organizers say the 50th anniversary shows will feature cutting edge concert technology.
