CAMDEN, N.J. -
Investigators in Camden County are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run Sunday that left a two-year-old boy in critical condition.
Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson released details of the accident Monday and say it happened around 3:15 p.m. on the 400 block of N. 27th Street.
Investigators say the child was playing inside the All-Star Barber Shop and wandered outside while his father was getting his haircut.
When the father noticed his son was no longer in the barber shop, he rushed outside, only to find a crowd gathered around his son.
The child was rushed to Cooper Hospital.
Witnesses describe the car as a tan colored Buick Park Avenue, four door with a temporary registration and damage to the right passenger door.
Investigators say the driver initially stopped, but then sped away.
If you have any information, you're asked to call the Camden Police Department at 856-757-7420.
