Reid: 'I Can Obviously Do Better'

PHILADELPHIA -

Former Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo wasn't the only one facing criticism Tuesday, as head coach Andy Reid provided an assessment of his own performance.

During a noon press conference, the Eagles head coach told reporters he could be doing better after he was asked by a reporter to evaluate himself.

"I think I can obviously do better. I think collectively we can all do better and I surely can do a better job myself," Reid said.

Reid continued to say, "I put Juan in this situation, things didn't work out the way I hoped as it finishes up, and I take full responsibility for that. I take full responsibility for putting him in that situation."

Castillo was dismissed by the team Tuesday morning.

The Eagles lost Sunday to the Detroit Lions in overtime, dropping the team to 3-3.
