Messy North Philly Lot Cleaned Up After Fox 29 Story

A lot in North Philadelphia has been cleaned up after residents said contractors littered the area.

Fox 29 is getting results for residents in North Philadelphia who are dealing with a major mess.
On Monday, we introduced you to a resident who says developers have been dumping trash all along a lot near Temple University.
The resident who called us has lived in the area for seven years. She says she's called the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections and just about everyone else to try to get it cleaned up.
But when she couldn't get any answers, she turned to Fox 29.
One day after our story aired, crews came in and cleaned up the lot.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
