Dispute over security cameras could end Black Friday tradition at Wrentham Outlets

Posted: Updated:

WRENTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Black Friday shoppers, be on alert. You may have to put your discounts on hold for a few extra hours this year.

Wrentham Village Premium Outlets' holiday season is right around the corner, but the Midnight Madness is currently under question due to a dispute over security cameras.

The owner of the outlets agreed to install 10 at the request of local police, but wants the town to operate and maintain them. The police reportedly want the owner to take care of the cameras.

Thousands of people tie up traffic and wait for hours to get into the shopping center on the day after Thanksgiving each year.

Wednesday night, the Wrentham Planning Board and Wrentham Police Department will hold a meeting to discuss whether you will be able to get your bargains.
