The results of a two-car crash along I-95 in Newark, Delaware Wednesday afternoon.
NEWARK, Del. -
A crash closed several lanes of I-95 northbound in Newark, Delaware this afternoon. Delaware State Police say the crash happened in the area of St. Rt. 896.
Troopers say there were three cars involved with two injuries.
Video from SkyFox showed two cars severely damaged.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Civic traveling southbound moved from the center lane to the right lane when it struck a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The impact cause the Cherokee to cross all lanes of traffic and the median into the northbound lanes of I-95 where it hit a 2012 Subaru Legacy.
The driver of the Subaru was taken to Christiana Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to Christiana Hospital and is listed in critical condition. The driver and passenger in the Honda were not injured.
I-95 southbound was closed for 30 minutes and the northbound lanes were closed for over three hours. State Police are continuing their investigation of the accident at this time.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
