WRENTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – After a potential Black Friday scare, the Wrentham Premium Outlets announced on Thursday that the shopping center will host Midnight Madness as it does every year.
A communications firm released a statement on behalf of the Wrentham Premium Outlets Management, saying, "We appreciate the efforts of the Wrentham Planning Board, the Chief of Police and the entire Police Department. We will continue to work closely with the Wrentham Police Department on Midnight Madness and throughout the year. We also want to thank our merchants for their support. The safety and security of our shoppers and employees remains our number one priority."
The popular shopping event was in jeopardy over a security camera discrepancy.
The owner of the outlets agreed to install 10 at the request of local police, but wanted the town to operate and maintain them; however, police reportedly wanted the owner to take care of the cameras.
