Woman Charged In Alleged Theft Of $3M Ben Franklin Bust

The woman accused of stealing a $3 million rare bust of Benjamin Franklin from a home in Brywn Mawr back in August was charged Thursday.
United States Attorney Zane David Memeger says 46-year-old Andrea Lawton of Mobile, Alabama was charged by indictment with one count of interstate transportation of stolen property and one count of concealing stolen property.
According to an indictment, Lawton is accused of burglarizing a home and stealing the rare Ben Franklin bust.
The U.S. Attorney says Lawton allegedly took off with the stolen property and ended up in Mobile, where she planned to sell the bust.
According to the U.S. Attorney, she was arrested after boarding a bus to Elkton, Maryland.
If convicted, Lawton faces as much as 20 years in prison.
