The principal of Springton Lake Middle School in Delaware County was placed on leave after school officials say they learned of an ongoing investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office and U.S. Postal Inspector that involved him.
According to a statement issued by the Rose Tree Media School District, Dr. Troy Czukoski was placed on leave.
It's not clear what the investigation stems from.
"To date, this is all of the information that has been provided for us," a district statement read.
The district superintendent, Jim Wigo, says there's no reason to believe that the safety of students or staff were ever compromised.
