A Montgomery County community is working to help a local family battling a devastating disease.
Four weeks ago, Becky Vivian says she found out her seven-year-old son, Eli, was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy, a genetic disorder that affects the nerves and muscles, organs and behavior.
Shortly after getting news about Eli, Vivian says she learned a week ago that her daughter, four-year-old Ella, was also diagnosed.
Ella has not yet shown any symptoms.
The family has two older sons who have not been diagnosed.
Currently, there is no cure for Metachromatic Leukodystrophy.
After starting a Facebook page, Vivivan says she started getting messages from people all over the world.
From Facebook to Montgomery County, an entire community has rallied around the Vivian family.
They've started their own support group with t-shirts for Eli and Ella's "prayer warriors."
The family says they've already sold 400 of them - all part of their mission to save their children.

Rain moved in Saturday afternoon and the chance for it will stick around through the seven day forecast.
It becomes very unsettled across our area with clounds and showers again Sunday. The best chance for rain is in the morning and afternoon thunderstorms are possible towards our south.
Sunday is cool but we do warm up well into the 80s by Tuesday. With the warm weather comes a better chance for thunderstorms.
