A memorial like the one for a murdered Clayton Township girl is foreign to the Clayton community and the feeling is unlike anything they've ever experienced in the tiny town.
"It's just a sad situation, babies killing babies," said a woman paying her respects. You could consider Autumn Pasquale a baby. She was only 12 years old and just over a week away from her 13th birthday when she was killed. Now instead of lighting birthday candles, candles mark the spot where her tiny body was found stuffed in a recycling bin.
"It's heartbreaking and I just wanted to pay my respects to the family," said Gina Stefanow who doesn't know the family, is Glassboro and doesn't have children.
"It's like how do you even want to bring children in the world now today?" said Stefanow who still shed lots of tears as she stared at the memorial thinking of how Autumn must've suffered after an innocent bike ride in her neighborhood.
"You can't even protect them from a bicycle ride. It's just so sad," sobbed Stefanow.
Two brothers, 15 year old Justin and 17 year old Dante Robinson are just kids themselves but charged with a monstrous crime. Their parents left the house early Wednesday but had no comment.
"I think it's absolutely terrible. Kids today don't respect human life," said Tina Trivelli of Glassboro.
Autumn's classmates are struggling too with the thought of never seeing her bright smile again. Justice Lightfoot had gym class with Autumn and said, "Autumn was really a close friend of mine so to realize that she is gone is like a tragedy. And then to realize it was true, it was really sad that it was happening."

Still feels like summer out there. Highs in the mid 80s today. Just like summer, it'll be humid, with a chance of a few spotty showers late in the day.
Tomorrow, strong thunderstorms move through, from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. That front will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
