FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) - Police say six students were arrested following a large fight Wednesday at Taft Adult Education Center.
Det. Lt. William Wilson says the fight started at the school's entrance around 1:20 p.m. A school officer tried to calm the growing crowd, but was knocked over as the brawl began. Wilson says one student had to be subdued by use of a Taser.
Evenutally, three 18-year-old men, two 17-year-old men and one 18-year-old woman were arrested for their involvement.
Earlier in the day, school officers say four students had been ejected from class after trying to start a fight with another student. Wilson says those students were later identified as members of the 'Band Crew' street gang.
Wilson says the students could face arraignment as early as Thursday afternoon.
