Police discovered the body of a woman in her 40s on the city's east side early Sunday morning.
DETROIT (WJBK) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding out who shot an unidentified woman to death on the city's east side.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens says the woman's body was found outside on the 4800 block of Maynard about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Stephens says the woman appears to have been in her 40s and had gunshot wounds.
So far, the sergeant says circumstances of the killing are unknown. She says detectives are asking anyone with information about the woman or her killing to call 313-596-2260. - The Associated Press contributed to this report
