The PA Turnpike Commission on Monday closed the Delaware River Bridge, which links Pennsylvania and New Jersey due to high winds and a failure of the lighting on the bridge.
According to the commission, the bridge will still be available to emergency vehicles and equipment as needed but will be closed to non-essential vehicles until further notice.
The N.J. Turnpike has also stopped westbound traffic from crossing into Pennsylvania and the PA Turnpike is requiring all eastbound traffic to turn around at the Delaware River Toll Plaza, the commission said.
