The New York State Police is investigating a one car deadly accident during Hurricane Sandy.
Police say it happened at 7:45 p.m. Monday on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh.
A 1988 Toyota being driven by an unidentified 54-year-old Yonkers man was southbound in the left lane near Jackson Ave when he hit a large tree which had fallen across the roadway from the center median.
Police say the car then continued down the center embankment and hit several other trees.
The man died at the scene. His body was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
The State Police were assisted at the scene by the Yonkers Police Department and the Greenburgh Fire Department.
