The School District of Philadelphia says classes will resume Wednesday after schools were closed for two days due to Sandy.
The district made the announcement Tuesday afternoon, following Mayor Michael Nutter's announcement that the city would be "back open for business" Wednesday.
The school district says it anticipates that some yellow school buses may be delayed in the morning as they deal with road conditions.
The district urges parents and staff to monitor its website for individual school notifications.
