More c-sections, higher risk for babies: Study

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Pregnant women who've had multiple Cesarean sections may be at an increased risk for complications.

British researchers compared women who had five or more c-sections with women who have had fewer than five.

They found that women with more than five c-sections were more likely to suffer from obstetric hemorrhaging and have pre-term babies.

The researchers say doctors need to treat women in this group with extra care.
