US Senate hopefuls from Mass. on last minute voter push

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (AP) - Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani says U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has kept his promise to be an independent and bipartisan voice in the U.S. Senate.

Giuliani joined Brown for a leg of his campaign bus tour on Friday, stopping in Boston's heavily-Italian North End neighborhood. They greeted passers-by and visited restaurants and pastry shops on Hanover Street.

Giuliani, a Republican, praised Brown as someone who could work with Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives. He also said Democrat Elizabeth Warren was so far to the left, she's "fallen off the cliff."

Warren, meanwhile, planned several campaign stops on Friday including a get-out-the-vote rally in Lowell.

She also picked up the endorsements Friday from Worcester Mayor Joe Petty and five of the city's former mayors, including Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray.
