4 Additional NJ Transit Lines Back In Service

Posted: Updated:

Four additional rail lines returned to service Sunday morning, NJ Transit announced, marking what officials say is a key milestone in the state's recovery following Hurricane Sandy.

NJ Transit says the North Jersey Coast Line, the Raritan Valley Line, the Main/Port Jervis Line and the Atlantic City Line resumed normal service Sunday morning.

"These announcements mark important milestones in NJ Transit's ongoing recovery efforts," Transportation Commissioner and NJ Transit Board Chairman James Simpson said in a statement.

"While this is great news for our customers, the road to recovery continues. NJ Transit crews continue working around the clock to restore service for our customers."

While the four lines went back in service Sunday, NJ Transit says there are still some special schedules in place along several lines.

You can find schedules on the NJ Transit website.
