Obama, Romney pursue last votes in stubbornly close race
(AP) — Today's campaign schedules show where President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney believe the race for the White House will be decided.
On the eve of Election Day, Romney is hitting Florida, Virginia and New Hampshire, while Obama
is targeting Wisconsin and Iowa. And both men plan to be in Ohio this
evening for dueling rallies in Columbus, seven miles apart.
GOP officials say Romney is considering adding an Election Day visit to Ohio. His current plans call for a final rally tonight in Manchester, N.H.
candidates say the winner will be determined by which of their
operations can get the most supporters to the polls. And both have
appealed to their supporters today to get out and vote.
About 30 million people have already voted in 34 states and the District of Columbia, either by mail or in person.
National polls suggest the race remains extremely close.
