Sandy Destroyed $30 Million Worth Of Hybrid Plugins In NJ

Posted: Updated:

Fisker says Hurricane Sandy has destroyed more than $30 million worth of its Karma plug-in hybrids.

The luxury carmaker says more than 300 of the cars, which start at around $100,000 each, were damaged by flooding at a New Jersey port during last week's storm.

A Fisker spokesman says the cars were insured so the company doesn't expect any financial fallout.

This is another setback for Fisker, which has faced several quality and financial issues this year.
