PHILADELPHIA -

Mayor Michael Nutter says there's a chance that the city may see minor flooding Wednesday on the Delaware River as a nor'easter makes its way into the area.

Nutter spoke to reporters Wednesday afternoon at City Hall as the effects of the storm were just being seen in Center City.

By 2 p.m., a rain-snow mix could be seen falling on city streets.

While the city is under a Winter Weather Warning through 6 a.m. Thursday, Nutter urged residents to prepare for winds between 20 and 30 mph and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

The mayor says the city is doing everything it can to prepare for the storm.

Earlier Wednesday morning, trucks with the city's streets department were equipped with plows and are prepared to salt the roads, if needed

Nutter says city roads may see the rain-snow mix turn to slush. He urged everyone to be extra cautious and to prepare for all kinds of weather elements, from wind to hail, rain and the potential for snow.
