CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel got more than he bargained for when he stopped by a city-sponsored job fair Friday.
1,000 people were in line by the time the job fair opened; some waited in line at 5 a.m. for the 9 a.m. event
Once they finally got inside, many were not happy to find out that they were going to have to apply online.
Some angry job seekers confronted the mayor directly.
"I came down here I stood in line for four hours expecting to get a job interview and fill out an application and I stood in line for hours to get a flyer telling me to go online," one frustrated person said. "At what point was it anyone's responsibility just to tell me to go online?"
Chicago's unemployment rate is currently 8%.
